Eid gift ideas for the whole family

Eidi used to mean crisp new notes in an envelope, and for children it still does. But between sisters, cousins, newly-weds and grown-up children, a gift people can keep has a special place. Which Eid mug for whom?

Sisters, cousins and the whole family

A family mug starts at Rs 2,700 for three figures. Extra figures are Rs 300 each, up to eight figures in total, so a group of sisters or a set of cousins in their Eid clothes can share one mug.

A couple's first Eid together

The first Eid after the shadi is a big one. A couple mug (from Rs 2,400) shows the two of them in their Eid outfits, and makes a thoughtful gift from either side of the family.

Children

A kids / cartoon mug (from Rs 2,100) is a fun alternative to cash: a favourite superhero, princess or dinosaur, or the child themselves in a little kurta or frock. Cartoon faces with eyes and a smile are made on request.

Parents, grandparents and in-laws

A name mug (from Rs 1,900) uses clay letters, no figure: "Eid Mubarak" with clay flowers, or "Nani", "Dada" or "Ammi". It is simple, and still made entirely by hand.

Matching their Eid outfits

Eid clothes are half the joy, so send us pictures of them. You can upload up to five reference photos when you personalise the mug. Mention the colours, embroidery, dupatta, waistcoat or topi, and we will match the colours as closely as clay allows. If the outfits are still at the tailor, a photo of the fabric is enough.

Our usual style is blank faces or figures seen from behind, which keeps the focus on the clothes. Cartoon faces are possible on request.

The mug colour sets the mood. Glossy dark green, white or yellow feel festive, and matte red, royal blue, black or dark green add depth for Rs 300 more.

For the text, keep it short: "Eid Mubarak", names or initials, or the year. Urdu and English both work. Very long lines are hard to keep tidy in clay, so we may suggest a shorter version. Add a longer gift message when you personalise the mug and we will put it in the box.

How early should I order for Eid?

Earlier than for any other occasion. Eid dates depend on the moon sighting, so the exact day is uncertain until the last moment. Couriers get very busy in the days before Eid and close over the Eid holidays. And every mug is made by hand in 7–10 days before it is handed to a courier with tracking.

A sensible plan:

1. For Eid ul-Fitr, order in the first half of Ramadan. For Eid ul-Adha, order as soon as the month begins.
2. Allow for the courier, which usually takes 2–3 days after dispatch. Delivery is Rs 250 anywhere in Pakistan.
3. If Eid is less than 10 days away, message us on WhatsApp at 0335-4602621 before ordering. We will tell you honestly whether it can arrive in time, and we will not promise what the couriers cannot deliver.

Public holidays can pause dispatch even when a mug is ready. One customer in Karachi learned that with an engagement anniversary and a surprise public holiday. If you are cutting it close, consider giving the mug at an Eid milan or a family dinner after Eid instead. It will be just as welcome a few days later.

Gift ideas to go with it

A mug pairs naturally with other Eid treats: a box of mithai, a pack of their favourite tea, new bangles or a small mehndi cone for a sister, or a crisp note tucked inside for a younger cousin. Pass on the care basics too: hand wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge, and no microwave, oven or dishwasher. Children should hold it by the handle.
